Last night some of the Stellar Christchurch team, Robbie McIlraith, Max Goodman and Matt Vaughan, went along to the CCNZ Canterbury Westland Guest Speaker event, where former All Black Aaron Mauger shared his insights on building high functioning teams.

Stellar is excited to share an update on Roma Tuimaunei and the incredible progress he has made over the past few months.
Roma has recently returned from Europe, where he spent time in Romania training and competing alongside FIBA clubs and players. Being immersed in a fully professional environment, training at that level and seeing first-hand what it takes, has had a huge impact on both his game and his mindset.
Since coming home, Roma has carried that momentum forward and earned selection into the Rams Development Programme, an achievement he is rightly proud of. It has been inspiring to watch his confidence, discipline, and growth continue to build.
The next exciting step is an invitation to attend the Summer League in Las Vegas this July, an opportunity only a small number of young players receive. It is a massive chance for Roma to test himself, learn from the best, and continue developing on an international stage.

Last Friday, our Brisbane team got behind @tiacs_ Pedalling for a Purpose, with Jacob, Cade and Michael taking on the ride. For Jacob, it was even more meaningful riding alongside his father, Tim from @growth_wpd, making it a powerful day both personally and professionally.

Michael Cooke, Senior Recruitment Consultant, Mining Maintenance, and Amy Henry, Recruitment Consultant - Trades, recently visited key mining sites across Central Queensland, gaining insight into the current challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
With coal prices still under pressure, we’re seeing a pullback in maintenance work and a shift toward smaller, fast-moving contractor models. Labour demand is lower in some areas, but opportunities remain in production and warehousing as planning ramps up for 2026.
By being on site and in conversation with operational leaders, we’re staying close to what’s happening on the ground and where support is most needed.

Our team, Robbie McIlraith (General Manager), Paul Miller (Business Development Manager), Stacey Wing (Senior Consultant), and Desiree Miller (Operations Coordinator), enjoyed an unforgettable evening celebrating a season defined by talent, resilience, and community spirit.
A special shoutout to Timoci Tavatavanawai, who stole the spotlight with five major awards, including the prestigious Pulse Energy MVP, and confirmed his commitment to the Highlanders with a 2 year contract extension!
Also making waves was Fabian Holland, named both Forward of the Year and Defender of the Year, while also locking in a 3 year extension, a true powerhouse in the pack.
The night was a powerful reminder of the values that drive success, both on and off the field. Congratulations to all the winners and the Highlanders on an inspiring evening. Stellar is proud to support the team this season and can’t wait for 2026!

Last Sunday, Stellar had the pleasure of helping organise a special moment for a little legend, Josie. Josie took on the role of ball runner at the @highlandersteam vs Moana Pasifika game at Forsyth Barr Stadium and crushed it.
When we knew that we had this opportunity, Business Development Manager, Paul Miller, spoke to Josie’s Dad, who straight away said she’d love to. Josie is a mad and passionate rugby fan, loves the Highlanders, and loves her Alhambra Union Rugby club, which is the kit she is decked out in on the field.
Josie was an absolute delight and did an amazing job being the ball runner – look at that awesome smile! We’re so happy to have played a part in making this experience happen for Josie and hope she has some wonderful memories from her big moment.
