About the Opportunity

We're partnering with a respected heavy transport business seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic ready to step into a Workshop Supervisor position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on mechanical work and team leadership.

Working within a busy Penrose-based workshop, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of a small team while remaining actively involved in repairs and maintenance. You'll be responsible for coordinating workflow, supporting your technicians, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and day-to-day support to workshop staff
  • Monitor repair and maintenance work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Coordinate workloads and allocate jobs to maximise productivity
  • Foster a positive, safe, and team-focused workshop culture
  • Complete job documentation and compliance-related paperwork accurately

What we're looking for
  • Extensive experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a workshop environment
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to effectively manage workflow while supporting and developing others
