What You'll Be Doing
- Production MIG welding of structural steel components
- Welding beams, columns, brackets, cleats, and heavy steel assemblies
- Working from shop drawings and fabrication plans
- Ensuring welds meet quality and industry standards
- Assisting with fabrication and fit-up when required
- Following workshop health and safety procedures
- Proven experience welding structural steel
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Experience working with heavy steel sections
- Good understanding of welding symbols and tolerances
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused
- Able to work well within a production team
- Current welding tickets are advantageous but not essential
