Our client, a boutique hotel in central Dunedin, is looking for a reliable Weekend Relief Duty Manager to support the Hotel Manager.
This is a permanent part-time role, mainly covering Saturday and Sunday daytime hours, with only occasional after‑hours support required.
You will assist with the smooth operation of the hotel on weekends, acting as a key point of contact for guests and supporting day-to-day operational needs.
Working Days & Hours
- Saturday and Sunday
- Flexibility available if an occasional weekend day off is required
- Occasional after-hours phone support or emergency attendance
- Additional hours available when covering the Hotel Manager during annual leave
- Support the weekend operation of the hotel
- Guest check-ins and check-outs as required
- Respond to guest enquiries while maintaining high service standards
- Manage bookings and guest communications
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance as needed
- Attend to urgent operational issues when required
- Previous experience in hotels, accommodation, or hospitality preferred
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused
- Calm and capable when handling unexpected situations
- Highly organised and comfortable working independently
- Ideally based centrally in Dunedin, or able to attend the hotel promptly if required
- Permanent part-time weekend role
- Flexible arrangement with minimal after-hours requirements
