We're seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor / 2IC to join a busy Mangere-based operation. This is a hands-on role managing a small team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day warehouse functions. For the right person, this opportunity can lead to a permanent position.

About the Role As the Warehouse Supervisor / 2IC, you'll support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading a small team, and ensuring warehouse activities run efficiently and safely.

This role is perfect for someone who leads from the front, enjoys being on the floor, and isn't afraid to get involved in all aspects of the operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, motivate, and support a small warehouse team
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of warehouse operations
  • Manage inventory accuracy and stock control
  • Operate and maintain WMS systems
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight
  • Coordinate picking, packing, and dispatch activities
  • Perform stock counts and cycle counts
  • Operate Reach and Counterbalance forklifts
  • Assist with container devanning and manual handling tasks
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Support staff training and performance management
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader, or 2IC
  • Strong understanding of inventory, warehousing, pick, pack, and dispatch functions
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Current Reach and Counterbalance forklift licences and experience
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Hands-on leadership style with a strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and devanning
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and solutions-focused
