We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to support a company delivering large-scale infrastructure projects in Palmerston North. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role combining physical warehousing of heavy materials with strong inventory and systems control.

About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse and logistics activities. This position is a true mix of physical warehousing and inventory administration, requiring accuracy, organisation, and the ability to work with heavy materials in a structured environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing daily warehouse and stores activities including receipting, storage, picking, and dispatch
- Handling and moving heavy materials safely and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate inventory levels across projects and work orders
- Completing inventory and warehouse data entry with a high level of accuracy
- Conducting inventory cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Raising and receipting purchase orders for stock and materials
- Investigating and resolving stock allocation or transaction issues
- Providing general administrative support to warehouse and logistics operations
- Working closely with internal teams to support project delivery
- Supporting continuous improvements to warehouse processes and systems
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Taking responsibility for warehouse equipment, stock care, and site property

- Proven experience in warehouse coordination, stores, logistics, or inventory administration
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse processes
- Experience working with heavy or high-volume materials in an operational environment
- Background in construction, utilities, or project-based environments (preferred)
- A current forklift licence
- Confident administration and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience with warehouse or inventory systems (JDE experience is advantageous)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, practical, and solution-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while supporting a wider team
