We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join a company supporting large‑scale infrastructure projects in Palmerston North. This is a 3‑month temporary assignment offering stable hours, excellent pay, and strong on‑site support.

This role is well suited to someone with solid experience across warehouse administration, inventory control, and general warehousing, who enjoys working in a structured, safety‑focused environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of warehouse and logistics activities. The role combines both hands‑on warehousing and administrative responsibilities, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely support to projects.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing daily stores and warehousing activities including receipting, storage, picking, and dispatch
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting inventory control processes
  • Completing warehouse and inventory data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • Conducting inventory cycle counts and recording results in inventory systems
  • Raising and receipting purchase orders for stock and materials
  • Investigating and correcting stock allocation and transaction discrepancies related to projects and work orders
  • Providing general administrative support to the warehouse and logistics function
  • Working closely with internal teams to resolve warehouse and inventory‑related issues
  • Supporting warehouse process and system improvements
  • Ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements
  • Taking responsibility for the care of warehouse equipment, stock, and site property
This is a busy and varied role requiring good organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in warehouse coordination, stores, logistics, or inventory administration
  • Strong knowledge of general warehousing and inventory control processes
  • Experience working in a busy operational or project‑based environment, such as construction, or utilities
  • A current forklift licence
  • Confident administration and data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with JDE would be desirable 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem‑solving
Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems is required, with system‑specific training provided where needed.
