Skills & Experience Required
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic , Heavy Equipment Mechanic , or equivalent (internationally recognised).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working on heavy mobile equipment, ideally in underground or mining environments.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces, low‑light conditions, and high‑risk environments.
- Experience with OEM equipment such as Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, or Atlas Copco is highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.
- Valid passport and ability to meet visa or sponsorship requirements.
- Willingness to relocate and work in Australia (or relevant country).
- Ability to pass:
- medical and fitness assessments
- drug and alcohol screening
- background checks
- English language proficiency suitable for safety‑critical environments.
- Commitment to learning local mining regulations and adapting to underground safety standards.
