Experienced Underground Heavy Diesel Fitters required for a metro-based (northern suburbs) workshop position specialising in repairs and rebuilds on UG machines. This is a 7:7 roster offering stability, work–life balance, and hands-on technical work in a well-equipped workshop environment.

Daily Duties:
  • Electrical fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on underground machines
  • Diagnose and repair wiring harnesses, sensors, control systems, and electrical components
  • Strip, inspect, rebuild, and test electrical systems to OEM standards
  • Complete diagnostics and breakdown repairs
  • Accurately complete inspection and quality control documentation
  • Work as part of a skilled workshop team using industry-leading tooling and processes
What we're looking for:
  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology required.
  • Experience working on Sandvik, Epiro, CAT underground machines
  • OEM training – Sandvik are highly regarded
  • Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability
  • High attention to detail required
  • Forklift and HRWL licences are highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment
  • Currently hold valid Australian working rights
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to complete pre‑employment requirements
