We’re looking for reliable, experienced Traffic Management Worker who understand the role and takes safety seriously.
This is steady, ongoing traffic management work supporting a large contractor. You’ll be working with professional crews where traffic control is planned properly, communicated clearly, and respected as a critical part of site safety.
About the role
- Traffic control support on road maintenance projects
- Managing vehicle and site access safely
- Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic management layouts
- Working to approved TMPs and following STMS direction
- Communicating clearly with the public and site teams
- Maintaining safe, tidy, and professional work zones

- Turning up on time and ready for site
- Following TMPs and instructions without needing reminders
- Communicating clearly with your STMS, crew, and the public
- Taking pride in running a safe, well controlled work zone
- Representing the site professionally at all times
- Current TTM or TC qualification
- Valid NZ Driver Licence
- Own reliable vehicle to get to and from site
- Previous traffic control experience
- Physically fit and comfortable working long hours on your feet
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Own steel cap work boots
- Code A and or Code B tickets
- Experience on civil or roading projects
- Progression toward STMS
- Minimum 1 year experience in traffic management
- Ability to pass a pre employment drug test
- Ability to complete a Ministry of Justice background check
- Ability to provide at least two contactable work references
