My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager or Project Engineer to take a step into a new role as Technical Preconstruction Manager/ Bid Manager. The ideal candidate has "on the ground" knowledge of Drainage, Structures and/or Marine projects, along with an Engineering background.
As the Preconstruction Manager, you’ll lead early contractor involvement (ECI), methodology development, and bid strategy, bringing together engineering, planning, and commercial teams to deliver winning solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing profitable work, ensuring buildability, managing risk, and setting projects up for successful delivery.

- Manage handover from preconstruction to delivery teams
- 10+ years in civil or infrastructure construction
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred)
- Strong background in preconstruction, bids, or project leadership
- Experience across ECI, D&C, and negotiated contracts
- Strong understanding of construction approaches, suppliers, subcontractors, design partners and civil contractors
- Proven ability to develop winning, commercially sound solutions
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and delivery risks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
