Our client, a well-established manufacturing and engineering business in Islington, is seeking a reliable Storeperson to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will see you supporting warehouse and stores operations, ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, picked and dispatched. You will work closely with production teams and contribute to maintaining an organised and efficient workplace.
Duties Include:
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods
- Picking and issuing materials for production requirements
- Completing stock movements and inventory transactions accurately
- Operating scanning equipment and basic ERP systems
- Maintaining accurate stock records and documentation
- Loading and unloading goods safely
- Assisting with stocktakes and inventory control activities
- Ensuring stores and warehouse areas remain clean and organised
- Working collaboratively with production and warehouse teams
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Monday to Friday Day Shifts
- 2-3 month temporary assignment
- $27-$31 per hour depending on experience
- Previous stores, warehouse or inventory experience preferred
- Current OSH Forklift license required
- F endorsement preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Good computer literacy and ability to learn new systems
- Experience using scanners, inventory systems or ERP software advantageous
- Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Customer-focused attitude
- Reliable, motivated and willing to learn
