About the Role:
They are looking for a Slitter Operator to work with our slitter and log saw machine on the afternoon shift at our plant based in Christchurch You will be part of a high performing team and will assist with the continuous improvement of our operations. If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided. It is essential that for this role you have excellent attention to detail.
Hours and shifts are below:
Shift 1: 5.50am-14:00 Mon -Fri
Shift 2: Mon to Fri * 13.50pm – 2200 Mon – Fri
Shift 3: 21:50 – 0600
Sun -Fri | 41 hours per week! Rotating Shifts
Duties Include:
- Setup, monitor and control of own workstation and production equipment.
- Run the jobs to the specified output and job changes are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Wrap and stack all product correctly.
- Record log sheets and timesheet data completely and accurately.
- Record, code and place all scrap into the correct bins.
- Advise setter of any issues that cause loss of machine speed, additional scrap, quality problems.
- You must possess excellent attention to detail as this is a very unique machine that requires attention
- Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding
- Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work
- Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions
- Willingness to able to commit to the shifts advertised
- NZ work rights.
