This role will involve the installation of stainless steel pipework, pipe supports, mechanical equipment, and fabricated engineering components on site. Candidates with structural steel installation experience are encouraged to apply, as many of the skills involved are highly transferable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing stainless steel pipework and associated equipment
- Bolting up flanged pipe connections
- Installing pipe supports, brackets, platforms, and structural components
- Assisting with mechanical fit-up and assembly work
- Working alongside cranes and lifting equipment during installations
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Completing quality assurance (QA) and site documentation
- Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship
- Experience in industrial site installation, mechanical fitting, process piping, or structural steel erection
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with bolted connections and site assembly work
- Comfortable working around cranes and lifting operations
- Knowledge on project compliance and QA documentation
- Site Safe, EWP, Working at Heights, Dogman, or Rigging tickets advantageous
- Full NZ working rights
- Competitive pay: $28 - $32 per hour (depending on experience)
