They now have an IMMEDIATE need to appoint a civil SHIFT ENGINEER to their high-performance team in WA on a major project.
About the Role
As SHIFT ENGINEER you will be working 7/3, 7/4 roster (day/night shift 6am-6pm) on a major civil infrastructure project in Perth’s northern suburbs. You will be working at the TBM coalface “hands-on” during shift managing and delivery of the tunnelling works and monitoring excavation parameters (e.g. pressure, thrust, advance speed slurry flow/density etc) and recording on the nominated spreadsheet/document. The SHIFT ENGINEER will be critical to the key selection for segment build, measuring gaps, scanning segments prior to ring build and conducting ring installation quality checks and completing the required ITP checklist (including checking ring roll, defects etc). You’ll need to attend pre-starts, present weekly toolbox meetings, and effective handovers after your shifts. This role requires at least 2 years prior site experience in a similar Site Engineer/Project Engineer role in civil contracting and preferably on TBM tunnelling scopes for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors (*not EPCM or Client Side). An extremely attractive day rate will be on offer based on your current level of relevant experience, and is negotiable.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (minimum)
- 2+ years’ post graduate civil construction experience as Site/Project Engineer for prominent civil contractors in Australia
- Previous experience managing TBM tunnelling scopes (preferred)
- Past success and experience working on nightshift
- Willingness and ability to undertake 7/3, 7/4 roster (day/night shift 6am-6pm)
- Can-do attitude and highly motivated
- Currently residing in Perth’s northern suburbs with existing rights to work in Australia
- Classy and Financially Stable Tier 1 Civil Contractor
- Long-term contract on a Major Civil Project
- Superb Day Rate $$$ (*Negotiable)
