Our client is a leading independent importer and distributor of tractors and agricultural equipment, with a proud history spanning multiple generations. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team at their Timaru branch.
Working within a modern workshop, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of tractors and agricultural machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business that values its people and provides ongoing training and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults on tractors and agricultural machinery.
- Carry out servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Complete mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the wider workshop team.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Deliver excellent customer service and technical support when required.

About you
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
- Experience servicing and repairing diesel-powered machinery.
- Agricultural machinery or tractor experience highly regarded.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
