We’re working with a well-established Waikato company that’s continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician to join their Hamilton team.
This is a varied role with a good balance of workshop and field work, servicing and repairing forklifts and heavy equipment across the region. You’ll be joining a supportive team with modern equipment, steady workflow, and genuine long-term opportunities.
The role:
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on forklifts and heavy equipment
- Perform servicing and preventative maintenance
- Handle breakdowns and field service work
- Work both independently and alongside a skilled team
- Complete job cards and service documentation
- $40-$46 per hour depending on experience
- Overtime rates available
- Company vehicle provided
- Tool allowance
- 40 hours guaranteed
- Variety of field service + workshop work
- Ongoing training and development
- Stable company with a strong reputation in the Waikato
- Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Experience working on heavy machinery, forklifts, trucks, or similar equipment
- Someone reliable, practical, and self-motivated
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
