We’re partnering with a well-established and reputable truck and trailer dealership in Timaru, seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead their service department.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take full ownership of workshop operations from managing workflow and supporting your team, to ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You’ll be responsible for driving performance, efficiency, and service delivery across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of diesel technicians and apprentices
- Oversee daily workshop operations, including scheduling and job allocation
- Take a hands-on approach, assisting in the workshop when required
- Be the key point of contact for customers, ensuring a high standard of service
- Manage workflow to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
- Ensure job cards, documentation, and invoicing are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain and promote a strong health and safety culture
- Oversee quoting, job costing, and parts to ensure work is delivered on budget
- Competitive salary: $110,000 – $135,000 (depending on experience)
