We are looking for an experienced recruiter who is considering a move from New Zealand to Brisbane to join our Construction and Engineering team.
Rather than starting from scratch, you’ll step into a warm desk with an established client base, active relationships and strong market demand, giving you the opportunity to hit the ground running while building your recruitment career in Australia.
The Opportunity:
Brisbane’s building and construction market continues to offer significant opportunity, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys developing relationships, working a busy recruitment desk and identifying new commercial opportunities.
You’ll focus predominantly on white-collar building and construction positions, working with an existing portfolio of clients while continuing to grow and develop the desk.

Your Role as a Recruiter
- Recruit across white-collar building and construction appointments
- Manage and develop an established portfolio of clients
- Build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
- Identify new business opportunities through targeted business development
- Conduct market mapping and generate new leads
- Develop long-term client and candidate relationships using Stellar’s established network
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through to placement
- Work alongside experienced civil, construction and engineering recruitment teams
- Build your profile and network within the Brisbane market
We’re looking for someone with recruitment experience who is commercially minded, proactive and comfortable managing a busy desk.
Ideally, you will bring:
- A minimum of 2 years’ recruitment experience
- Experience recruiting within construction, engineering, property, trades or another related market
- Strong client and candidate relationship-building skills
- Confidence in business development and generating new opportunities
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Sound judgement, decision-making and problem-solving capability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude
- Strong attention to detail
