- Senior Project Engineer (Structures) on a major coastal marine construction project
- FIFO 2/1 roster to Western Australia, IMMEDIATE START!
- Initial 3 month contract, with potential to extend
- Tier 1 National construction business with strong systems, project support and delivery capability
- Circa $95/hr + super (Neg.)
- Flexible point of hire, flights paid from all major Australian cities
Reporting into the project leadership team, you will support the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of structural works across a complex marine construction package. You will be responsible for driving engineering coordination, managing technical interfaces, supporting construction planning, and ensuring quality, safety, cost and schedule outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate structural engineering and construction activities on site
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, design clarifications and constructability issues
- Support planning, sequencing, methodology development and short-term construction programs
- Work closely with supervisors, subcontractors, designers and client representatives
- Monitor progress, productivity, quality requirements and project documentation
- Assist with procurement, subcontractor management, cost tracking and forecasting where required
- Ensure works are delivered in line with safety, environmental, quality and contractual requirements
- Provide clear reporting and proactive issue resolution to the project leadership team
- Degree qualified in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer on major construction projects
- Strong structural construction experience, ideally across marine, bridge, wharf, port, heavy civil or complex infrastructure environments
- Confident managing technical interfaces, site engineering requirements and subcontractor coordination
- Strong understanding of quality systems, safety standards, construction methodologies and project controls
- Ability to work effectively on a FIFO roster and contribute quickly in a fast-paced project environment
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Contract role for a minimum of 3 months, potential to extend on next project
- FIFO 2/1 roster to Western Australia
- Competitive hourly rate, circa $95/hr + super (Neg.)
