Now they have an IMMEDIATE need to appoint a contract SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (FRP) to their high-performance team at the Alkimos Desalination Plant project.
About the Role
This SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER role is an IMMEDIATE requirement and will be focused on managing the Form Reo Pour (FRP), structural steel and precast installation for a $6M water retaining structures scope, while based at the site office in Alkimos. The role is a contract position for the next 4 months minimum, and an opportunity to get your foot in the door at a Tier 1 contractor with global presence, while working Perth-based on a major project through the coming winter months. The SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (FRP) will also lead a team of Engineers and Supervisors during the site works and liaise with design to finalise the structural design to IFC, and coordinate access for follow-on activities in the area. You will be required at site on 10 hour days, 5 days/week with an additional half day required on a Saturday only every third week. An extremely attractive pay rate of $100/hr + Super will be on offer to the successful SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER with ideally around 6 years related FRP/Concrete experience in a similar Tier 1 Contractor environment on major projects.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (minimum)
- 6+ years’ post graduate civil construction experience as Project Engineer/ SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER for Tier 1 or 2 Civil Contractors in Australia
- Previous experience managing FRP scopes (*essential) such as foundations, footings, ring beams, columns, bridge structures, abutments or similar.
- Can-do attitude and highly motivated
- Currently residing in Perth’s northern suburbs for logistical considerations
- Existing rights to work in Australia
- IMMEDIATELY Available, or 1 weeks’ notice maximum
- Classy Tier 1 Civil Contractor
- Terrific 4 Month Contract, Perth Based!
- Superb Rate $100/hr + Super
