We're seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to join a high-performing underground gold operation and play a key leadership role in delivering safe, efficient and profitable production outcomes.
 
This opportunity offers the perfect blend of technical engineering and people leadership. You'll lead a team of Mining Engineers, oversee drill & blast activities, optimise production performance, and work closely with site leadership to achieve operational targets.

About the Role
 
As the Senior Production Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading production engineering activities while supporting the safe and efficient delivery of underground mining operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor Production Engineers and Graduate Engineers
  • Plan, supervise and optimise weekly drill and blast activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise recovery and minimise dilution
  • Review and optimise firing strategies, ring designs and production practices
  • Support daily underground operations and achievement of production targets
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and operational plans
  • Assist with short and medium-term mine planning activities
  • Collaborate closely with operational and technical stakeholders
  • Support Mining Management with technical, operational and statutory requirements
About You To be successful, you'll bring:
  • Degree qualification in Mining Engineering
  • Underground hard rock mining experience
  • Strong drill & blast design and optimisation expertise
  • Experience in stope design, sequencing and production planning
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management capability
  • Proficiency with Deswik CAD, UGDB and Ventsim
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Current WA C Class Driver's Licence
  • First Class Mine Manager's Certificate or actively working towards obtaining one
