An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Mine Geologist to join a WA gold operation during a critical restart phase.
This is a hands-on, site leadership role where your work will have a direct impact on production, performance, and the success of the operation.
About the Role
Based on site in Bullfinch (DIDO from Perth), you’ll play a key role in leading mine geology activities while working closely with an experienced, highly hands-on Mine Manager.
This is a small-team environment, offering real ownership and the opportunity to help build processes, systems, and structure from the ground up.
The operation is unique, with air leg underground mining methods, so this role will suit someone comfortable getting underground and being close to the action.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily mine geology activities (mapping, sampling, ore mark-ups)
- Interpret geological data to support grade control and mine planning
- Maintain and refine geological and resource models
- Work closely with operations to optimise production and recovery
- Provide technical guidance across mining, planning, and exploration teams
- Mentor junior team members and help build capability on site
- Develop and improve geological procedures and standards
- 5+ years’ experience in hard rock gold (UG and/or open pit)
- Strong background in grade control and geological modelling
- Experience working in hands-on, operational environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and leadership
- Comfortable working in a small, high-performing team
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
