We're working with a highly regarded Christchurch law firm that has built a strong reputation through long-standing client relationships, practical advice, and a genuine commitment to service. As their practice continues to thrive, they're looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to provide key support across property, trusts and estates matters.

Working closely with up to two practitioners, you'll be trusted to take ownership of conveyancing files, manage client communication, coordinate important deadlines, and help ensure matters progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.

The role

You'll play an important part in supporting property, trust and estate matters, with responsibilities including:
  • Managing conveyancing transactions from instruction through to settlement
  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence and file documentation
  • Assisting with trust and estate administration
  • Liaising with clients, agents, banks and other stakeholders
  • Managing key dates, deadlines and file progression
  • Providing high-level administrative support to practitioners
About you
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within private practice
  • Strong conveyancing experience
  • Confidence supporting senior lawyers and managing competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A client-focused and professional approach
