Australia Wide | Full-Time | Major Healthcare Projects
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Health Facility Planner to join a leading project and programme consultancy supporting the planning and delivery of significant healthcare infrastructure projects across Australia.
This role is specifically suited to someone with a clinical background who has transitioned into health facility planning . We are looking for strong clinical understanding rather than an architectural background, combined with demonstrated experience translating clinical service requirements into practical facility planning outcomes.
The Role
Working closely with health services, clinical stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams, you will support the development of facility planning deliverables across major healthcare projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Translating Clinical Services Plans into whole-of-hospital and departmental Schedules of Accommodation
- Developing Departmental Functional Briefs and Strategic Functional Design Briefs
- Preparing Functional Assumptions Papers
- Supporting master planning, concept and schematic design processes
- Ensuring facility planning responds appropriately to current and future clinical service requirements
- Facilitating and managing engagement with clinicians, health professionals and other key stakeholders
- Providing facility planning input into Business Cases and Investment Decision Papers
- Working collaboratively with project, design and clinical teams to resolve health planning issues
- Supporting projects through key planning and design phases
- Clinical experience/background is essential
- Demonstrated health facility planning experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Clinical Services Plans
- Experience developing Schedules of Accommodation
- Experience developing Departmental Functional Briefs
- Experience working across significant healthcare infrastructure projects
- Strong clinical user engagement and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to confidently engage with clinicians and health professionals around facility planning requirements
- Strong communication, facilitation and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
