With close to three decades of experience, the business has established long-standing relationships with developers, consultants and subcontractors, with a significant proportion of its work coming from repeat clients. The company takes a selective approach to its project pipeline, allowing its teams to maintain a strong focus on quality, delivery and client relationships.
With an exciting pipeline of large-scale high-rise residential developments , including projects extending beyond $200m , they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join their Brisbane team.
The Role
Working within a lean, high-performing project team , you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements of a major residential development.
This is an opportunity to operate with genuine autonomy and visibility, working closely with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors and senior leadership.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Procurement and letting of major trade packages
- Subcontractor negotiations and contract administration
- Progress claims, variations and cost reporting
- Forecasting and maintaining project budgets
- Managing contractual correspondence and documentation
- Assessing subcontractor claims and variations
- Identifying and managing commercial risks
- Working closely with the delivery team to maintain programme and commercial outcomes
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders
- Supporting junior commercial team members where required
We are looking for an experienced CA who understands the pace, complexity and commercial requirements of delivering major residential construction.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Previous experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator or experienced Contracts Administrator
- High-rise residential or major apartment experience strongly preferred
- Experience on projects valued at $50m+
- Strong subcontractor procurement and negotiation capability
- Sound understanding of construction contracts, variations and claims
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
- Ability to operate effectively within a lean project team
- Relevant construction, quantity surveying or commercial qualification
