A well‑established equipment provider with a long-standing reputation in the hire, construction, and contracting sectors is seeking a driven Sales / Territory Representative to join their team. With over four decades supplying high‑quality machinery and equipment, this organisation is known for strong customer service, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering reliable solutions across the industry.
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing an established client base while proactively seeking out new business. A big part of your success will come from understanding your customers’ needs and showcasing how the equipment range can best support their work. Your key territory across the West Coast of the lower North Island through to Taranaki, including Wellington-based customers. You’ll be joining a supportive, knowledgeable team and representing a respected product range used widely across construction sites and related industries.
Responsibilities:
- Selling a broad range of construction machinery and equipment to hire companies and contracting/construction businesses
- Responding to inbound sales leads and actively sourcing new opportunities
- Managing and updating Hubspot CRM activity while meeting sales budgets and KPIs
- Conducting product demonstrations and showcasing equipment capabilities at trade shows
- Building strong rapport with customers across a variety of roles onsite
- Managing your sales call cycle with autonomy and consistency
To succeed in this role you will be/have:
- Bring proven sales experience, ideally with machinery, equipment or technical product environment
- Exceptional communication skills, focused on solution selling
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork
- Full clean NZ Drivers licence with the ability to manage equipment trailers
- Be proactive, curious, and willing to learn the technical aspects of the product range
- Enjoy hands‑on engagement with products and feel confident running demos
