Sales Lead (Auckland)

The opportunity We are seeking an experienced Sales Lead to drive new business growth and specification-led sales across the Auckland region. This is a client-facing role requiring strong stakeholder management, technical credibility, and disciplined pipeline execution. You will work across a broad customer base, including contractors, consultants, council stakeholders, and developers , building sustainable relationships and converting opportunities into profitable outcomes.
Key responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing new business by identifying and engaging prospective clients, new markets, and growth opportunities within the territory
- Conducting regular customer visits and delivering sales and technical presentations to key decision-makers and influencers
- Driving product specification outcomes by building strong relationships with consultants, engineers, designers, and other specifying stakeholders
- Responding to project enquiries and providing design services with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and turnaround expectations
- Guiding and tracking projects through feasibility/design phases, ensuring project data is current and communicated effectively
- Maintaining accurate records and opportunity updates within the company CRM system (including meetings, presentations, and customer communications)
- Gathering and reporting market intelligence (competitor activity, pricing, trends, customer insights) to support continuous improvement and growth
- Driving profitable sales growth through planning, quoting, negotiation, and conversion to signed purchase orders
- Coordinating internal handover of documentation and supporting delivery through to completion, including purchase order confirmations and project details
- Maintaining professional standards and representing the business at relevant industry events and professional development opportunities
- Proven success in B2B sales , ideally within technical, engineered, infrastructure, construction, or specification-led environments
- Strong capability in relationship management , influencing, and negotiation
- High attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate work under pressure, including margin/costing awareness
- A structured approach to territory planning, activity management, and achieving targets/budgets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence in presenting to stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using CRM systems
- Full, clean driver’s licence and ability to work autonomously in a field-based role
