We’re looking for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to drive best-practice safety outcomes across complex construction environments. This is a key role partnering with project teams and leadership to embed a proactive, high-performing safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of WHS policies, systems, and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure compliance
- Develop and manage Construction Safety Management Plans
- Investigate incidents and near misses, driving continuous improvement
- Analyse safety data (e.g. TRIFR/LTIFR) to inform decision-making
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders and influence safe work practices
- Support subcontractor compliance and site safety integration
- Deliver training and promote wellbeing and mental health initiatives
- Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
- Strong knowledge of NZ WHS legislation and construction safety standards
- Proven experience in risk management and incident investigation
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence across all levels
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills
