Stellar Recruitment is growing, and we are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our team, specialising in maintenance and mechanical trades recruitment.

About the role:
In this role, you will recruit across a range of maintenance roles, with a focus on permanent placements. You will work closely with clients to understand their hiring needs, source and engage quality candidates, manage end-to-end recruitment processes and provide market advice along the way.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a practical, fast-moving market and wants to build strong networks with both clients and candidates across the mechanical maintenance space.
 
Key responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end permanent recruitment processes across maintenance and mechanical trade roles
  • Recruit for roles such as mechanics, fitters, service technicians, heavy diesel mechanics, plant maintenance and equipment maintenance positions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates
  • Source, screen and shortlist quality candidates for mid-level trade-based roles
  • Grow and develop your market through business development, networking and referrals
  • Provide advice to clients on market conditions, salary expectations and candidate availability
  • Deliver a high level of service and communication throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain accurate records and activity through our CRM system
About you
We are looking for someone who has either:
  • Previous recruitment experience, ideally within trades, technical, transport, manufacturing, industrial or a similar market; or
  • Strong industry experience within mechanical trades, maintenance, heavy diesel, automotive, plant, equipment, manufacturing or a similar hands-on environment
You will bring
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in people
  • Confidence speaking with clients, candidates and industry contacts
  • Good commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities
  • A proactive approach to building networks and developing a market
  • Strong communication, organisation and follow-through
  • A positive, driven and team-focused attitude
  • A willingness to learn recruitment processes and build a long-term career in the industry
