About the Role
Based in East Brisbane, you will manage end-to-end recruitment across a range of blue-collar civil construction positions, supporting current projects and ongoing workforce requirements.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced recruiter who is comfortable managing high-volume recruitment, building strong relationships with operational stakeholders and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for blue-collar civil construction roles, including plant operators, labourers, onsite workers, supervisors etc.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, referrals, database searches, social media and industry networks
- Screen and interview candidates to assess their experience, qualifications, tickets and suitability for site-based work
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including reference checks, licences, tickets, medicals, drug and alcohol testing and site inductions
- Manage onboarding and mobilisation to ensure candidates are ready to commence on site
- Partner with project managers, supervisors and internal stakeholders to understand workforce requirements and recruitment priorities
- Build and maintain talent pools to support current and upcoming civil construction projects
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure all activity meets safety, compliance and project requirements
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders throughout the recruitment process
- Previous experience recruiting blue-collar roles within civil construction, infrastructure, utilities or a similar heavy industry environment
- Strong understanding of civil construction roles, licences, tickets and site compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume recruitment within tight timeframes
- Confident sourcing and engaging candidates in a competitive market
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across site and office-based teams
- Proactive, resilient and comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
