We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join our Brisbane team and take ownership of an exciting new talent strategy focused on connecting skilled New Zealand-based candidates with opportunities across Australia.
The Opportunity:
This is not a traditional recruitment desk. You will take ownership of developing a scalable New Zealand to Australia talent pipeline, building long-term candidate communities across sectors experiencing ongoing skills shortages.
You will identify, engage and qualify talent while helping position New Zealand candidate markets as a genuine workforce solution for our clients.
Your Role:
You will be responsible for building and maintaining structured talent pools across areas including:
- Mining, including mobile plant, maintenance and supervision
- Construction and infrastructure, including project management, engineering, supervision and trades
- Industrial and manufacturing trades
You will also:
- Build an engaged and continuously growing NZ candidate database
- Develop ongoing candidate engagement campaigns rather than relying solely on job advertising
- Plan and execute targeted sourcing campaigns across key New Zealand locations
- Coordinate candidate events, information sessions and pre-qualified interview days
- Partner with marketing on NZ-specific digital, social and email campaigns
- Provide candidates with practical insights into Australian opportunities, salaries and relocation considerations
- Work closely with Stellar's recruitment and BD teams to provide live candidate pipelines and market intelligence
- Participate in selected client meetings to provide insight into candidate availability and workforce trends
- Develop sector-specific NZ talent solutions for clients experiencing labour shortages
You will be an experienced recruiter who enjoys building markets, developing candidate relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
- A minimum of 2 years' recruitment experience
- Strong candidate sourcing and engagement capability
- Confidence building relationships with clients and candidates
- Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills
- Sound judgement, decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to take ownership
