With many large landmark commercial developments this company is now seeking an additional Commercial Quantity Surveyor. The company is a national business with a reputation of delivering key projects throughout NZ, they are exceptionally well positioned within the local and regional and national markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively work with commercial financial reporting to finalise project budgets for distribution and sign off.
- Assist in preparing final budgets for issue to relevant section Project Managers
- Advise of any risks that originate from the design to cost process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.
- Manage commercial risk during the construction project and liaise with Contract Manager and Project Managers.
- Monitors variations and job costs to ensure contracts are kept within budget, meet time constraints and quality standards
- Current NZ work rights
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant commercial construction experience
- A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Will be confident and effective at communicating to senior management, consultants, sub-contractors and clients
- Proven ability to interpret relevant legislation/code and its application on the project to prevent potential business exposure
- Extensive Knowledge of project management structure, plans and implications for contract and commercial accountabilities
- Extensive Knowledge of the tender (methodology, costings and constraints), contractual agreement, claim and dispute management
- Advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration and project management
