This is a permanent FIFO opportunity from Perth, operating on an 8:6 roster, offering exposure across the full project lifecycle — from study through to execution — within a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting underground development, drilling programs, and geological interpretation. You’ll collaborate closely with mining and planning teams to deliver practical, production-focused outcomes that contribute directly to site performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide geological support across underground projects from study through to execution
- Conduct underground mapping, face sampling, and grade control activities
- Plan, log, and interpret underground diamond and RC drilling programs
- Develop and refine 3D geological models to support mine planning
- Perform stope and development reconciliation with a strong focus on data quality
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC processes, safety standards, and site procedures
- Collaborate with mining, planning, and survey teams to align geological inputs with production requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Applied Geoscience
- Proven experience in underground gold mining environments
- Strong understanding of shear-hosted gold systems
- Demonstrated capability in underground mapping, sampling, and grade control
- Experience planning and logging diamond and RC drilling programs
- Proficiency with Leapfrog or similar 3D modelling software
- Strong reconciliation, data management, and QA/QC capability
- A high commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence
- Ability to prioritise and perform effectively in a dynamic FIFO environment
