My client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in water infrastructure to join their Wellington based team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a range of Three Waters civil projects, working closely with local councils and private clients.
You will provide hands-on technical support to the construction team and act as a key interface with client representatives to resolve technical queries. The role also involves managing subcontractors, overseeing procurement, maintaining high standards of QA/QC, and contributing to planning and programming of works. You’ll be responsible for cost control, progress reporting, and supporting traffic management requirements across your projects.
What we’re looking for:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Project Engineer, ideally within the Three Waters or water infrastructure sector
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost control and forecasting
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
- Full-time, permanent role with a secure pipeline of work
- Salary: $110,000 – $135,000 (experience dependent)
