We're seeking a Project Mining Engineer to join a leading underground gold operation and play a key role in bridging the gap between Technical Services and Operations.
 
This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who enjoys being in the field, working directly with site leadership and influencing operational performance through practical engineering solutions. You'll gain exposure across projects, production, planning, ventilation and mine infrastructure while working closely with operational stakeholders to deliver meaningful business improvements.

About the Role
 
Reporting closely to site leadership, you'll provide practical engineering support focused on operational performance, productivity and project delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify and implement business improvement initiatives
  • Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, safety and efficiency
  • Analyse production and equipment performance data to identify optimisation opportunities
  • Monitor and report on underground operating costs and performance metrics
  • Assist with planning and delivery of underground infrastructure projects
  • Support capital works including pump stations, fuel bays, underground magazines and mine services
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning and Ventilation teams to achieve operational objectives
  • Assist the Mining Engineering team across planning, production and project activities
  • Build strong relationships with site stakeholders and operational teams
About You
  • Bachelor of Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Underground hard rock mining experience
  • Exposure to mine production, projects and operational environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work autonomously and identify improvement opportunities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
  • Experience with Deswik highly regarded
  • WA Underground Shift Supervisor's Certificate or First Class Mine Manager's Certificate highly regarded
