Stellar Recruitment has partnered with Glencore to secure an Operational Readiness Manager for the Black Star Open Cut (BSOC) Project. This is one of Glencore most significant growth opportunities. The role will initially be based in Brisbane, transitioning to FIFO Mt Isa during project execution - Monday to Friday.
Glencore Metals Australia (GMA) business encompasses a complex and diverse portfolio across Zinc, Nickel and Copper operations in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. This includes underground and open pit mines, concentrators, smelters, refineries and port operations.
The Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for leading the planning, governance and execution of all activities required to transition the project from delivery into safe, stable and sustainable operations. The role ensures operational readiness outcomes align with business case objectives, project milestones and performance targets, while coordinating key workstreams such as workforce mobilisation, systems, commissioning support and operational capability.
Experience Required:
The role requires extensive experience in operational readiness, commissioning, or major capital project delivery within mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry environments . Candidates with a strong background in mineral processing plants would be highly favourable due complex work required in this area.
