We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We specialise in primary care for residents in aged care. You will work autonomously and collaboratively to provide high‑quality, resident‑centred care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys clinical variety, values strong relationships with residents, whanau and staff and wants to make a meaningful impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of residents in aged care facilities.
- Prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic investigations within NP scope.
- Lead and contribute to clinical decision‑making in partnership with the wider healthcare team.
- Deliver chronic disease management, health promotion, and preventative care to complex residents.
- Support the practice with clinical leadership, quality improvement, and best‑practice initiatives.
- Current Nursing Council of New Zealand registration as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with prescribing authority.
- Current valid drivers licence and vehicle.
- Clinical experience, or willingness to learn, in all aspects of care of the older person including primary care, acute care, palliative care and dementia.
- Strong clinical reasoning, autonomy, and confidence in complex decision‑making.
