We're seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Workshop Supervisor to lead a high-performing maintenance team at a well-established WA mining operation. This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who thrives on building strong teams, driving safety standards, and delivering reliable fleet performance.
 
Working a family-friendly 2/2 FIFO roster, you'll play a key role in ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
 
About the Role
 
Reporting to the maintenance leadership team, you'll oversee workshop operations, manage personnel and contractors, and ensure the site's heavy mobile equipment fleet is maintained for maximum availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of tradespeople and contractors
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture across all maintenance activities
  • Ensure maintenance targets and fleet performance objectives are achieved
  • Coordinate daily work plans and workshop priorities
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings
  • Support budgeting and cost control initiatives
  • Monitor maintenance quality and OEM compliance standards
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage resources effectively to maximise workshop productivity
  • Foster teamwork, accountability and operational excellence
About You
 
You are a proven maintenance leader with a strong mobile equipment background and a passion for developing people.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:
  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Extensive experience maintaining heavy mobile mining equipment
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification
  • WHS Statutory Supervisor units completed
  • WA HR Driver's Licence
  • Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor or similar
  • Strong knowledge of WA mining legislation and statutory requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with maintenance management systems
  • A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Desirable
  • Cert IV in Frontline Management
  • Forklift Licence
  • Experience with Caterpillar and Hitachi equipment
  • Experience within large-scale open pit mining operations
