The Opportunity:
The Mining Operations Supervisor provides competent frontline supervision of nominated mine workers and contractors on shift, ensuring activities comply with the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, relevant legislation and site standards.
The role applies effective risk management, responds appropriately to incidents and ensures assigned corrective actions are completed.
The role directs daily open cut activities in line with mine plans, production schedules and grade control requirements. It coordinates with Maintenance, Technical Services, CHPP and HSE teams to support equipment availability, accurate reporting and the achievement of production, efficiency and cost targets.
The role sets clear expectations, coaches and develops team members, manages performance and supports constructive employee relations. It promotes respectful, inclusive and open communication across the operation and ensures team members undertake the training required to perform their work safely and effectively.

You believe in fostering a positive work culture and ongoing growth, ensuring we always put our people first.
- Current recognised Open Cut Examiner competencies under NSW mining safety legislation are desirable.
- At least five years’ relevant experience in mining operations, including site-based supervisory experience.
- Sound knowledge of open cut mining activities, mine plans and schedules, risk management and statutory obligations.
- Demonstrated capability in frontline leadership, coaching, performance management and employee relations.
- Strong communication, influencing, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent activities.
