We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join a leading mining contractor on a WA gold operation, working a 2:1 FIFO roster. This is a great opportunity to lead from the front, stay hands-on with the gear and play a key role in keeping the fleet performing.
Daily Duties:
- Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities across the crew
- Allocate jobs and prioritise breakdowns and scheduled maintenance
- Provide hands-on technical support to maintenance crews
- Monitor job progress, quality and workshop productivity
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance
- Complete diagnostics and breakdown repairs
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Work safely and effectively within established site procedures
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with supervisors
- You will be required to work in a workshop and/or field environment
- Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or Mobile Plant Technology required
- Statutory 26 certification
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with demonstratable Leading Hand experience
- Full Unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence, HR DL (Highly desirable)
- OEM training - Komatsu, Hitachi, and CAT are highly regarded
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment
- Must have valid Australian Working Rights
- Ability to complete pre‑employment requirements
- Proficient in computer skills with programmes such as Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and ideally SAP
- 2:1 roster, 12-hour shifts
