About the opportunity:
A well-established and expanding aquaculture organisation in the Marlborough Sounds is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team.

This is a diverse, practical role offering a split between reactive and planned maintenance, working across the workshop, vessels, and on-site farm operations. You’ll be involved in everything from day-to-day fault finding through to larger upgrade projects and new vessel builds. You will be part of an experienced, multi-skilled team led by a supportive manager in a welcoming and collaborative environment.

Hours are typically 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a structured split between workshop and field work.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding across a wide range of electrical systems
  • Supporting upgrades, new vessel builds, and ongoing project work
  • Working across aquaculture and marine infrastructure, including:
    • Feeding systems
    • Generators and vessel electrical systems
    • Network and computer-controlled systems
    • Net cleaning and automated equipment
Benefits:

About you:
  • Registered Electrician with a current NZ practising licence
  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance
  • Exposure to networking/IP systems highly beneficial
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a  team
