Our client is looking for Machine Operators to join a busy manufacturing team in Hornby. Working across either morning or afternoon shifts, you'll be responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery, maintaining product quality and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team with ongoing training and development opportunities.
Duties Include:
- Set up, operate and monitor manufacturing equipment
- Maintain machine performance to achieve production targets
- Perform quality checks and complete production documentation
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report faults when required
- Ensure raw materials are supplied to machines efficiently
- Minimise waste and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Morning and Afternoon Shifts Available
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime opportunities may be available
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions
- Valid NZ work rights
