We are looking for Machine Operators to join our team at our plant based in Airport Oaks . We are looking to fill our overnight shift which is 11:00PM Sunday night – 07:00AM Friday morning. You will be responsible for monitoring machine output, ensuring the products meet client specifications and all products are completed to a high standard of quality. If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided. This role does require some heavy lifting so it is required that you are physically fit. You will attend a full site induction and food safety course, as well as full training on SOPs and you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels – this is encouraged.
Main Duties:
- Maintain continuous operation of extrusion machines
- Help the experienced Operator’s in setting up materials and machinery
- Maintain optimum machine output in line with the production plan
- All scrap is monitored and minimised where possible
- Strive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvement
- Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding
- Ideally you have come from a background operating machinery in a factory environment
- Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work
- Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems
- Must be a team player
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions
- Thorough with good attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting
