You'll operate and monitor production machinery, ensuring high-quality output while maintaining safety, efficiency and product standards. You'll be part of a supportive manufacturing team focused on continuous improvement and delivering products to customers.
Duties Include:
- Set up, monitor and operate production machinery and associated equipment
- Ensure batch weights and machine settings meet job specifications
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain output and quality
- Complete quality checks and production documentation accurately
- Minimise scrap, downtime and waste where possible
- Identify and report machine faults, maintenance requirements or quality concerns
- Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including completion of cleaning schedules
- Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Afternoon shift 2:20pm to 10:20pm
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week
- $26.90 an hour plus an afternoon shift allowance of $24.01 per shift
- Overtime rates and other allowances available
- Overtime shifts and extra hours may occur
- Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Good numeracy, literacy and mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to monitor processes and troubleshoot minor issues
- Reliable transport to get to and from work
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions
- Valid NZ work rights
