About the Role

You'll operate and monitor production machinery, ensuring high-quality output while maintaining safety, efficiency and product standards. You'll be part of a supportive manufacturing team focused on continuous improvement and delivering products to customers.

Duties Include:
  • Set up, monitor and operate production machinery and associated equipment
  • Ensure batch weights and machine settings meet job specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain output and quality
  • Complete quality checks and production documentation accurately
  • Minimise scrap, downtime and waste where possible
  • Identify and report machine faults, maintenance requirements or quality concerns
  • Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, including completion of cleaning schedules
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Shifts & Pay:
  • Afternoon shift 2:20pm to 10:20pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • $26.90 an hour plus an afternoon shift allowance of $24.01 per shift
  • Overtime rates and other allowances available
  • Overtime shifts and extra hours may occur
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Good numeracy, literacy and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to monitor processes and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Reliable transport to get to and from work
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions
  • Valid NZ work rights
