You’ll have plenty of scope to take ownership of matters, work directly with clients and develop your advocacy experience, including involvement in hearings and Environment Court work.

You’ll need to be a NZ admitted solicitor with around 5+ years' PQE, although the firm is open to considering lawyers with a different level of experience where there is a strong fit.
Your background could be in Resource Management, Local Government, Environmental, Public, Regulatory or Litigation law.
You’ll need strong technical and written legal skills, sound judgement and the confidence to deal directly with clients. Advocacy experience would be an advantage, as would exposure to councils, government, development or commercial clients.
Most importantly, you’ll be pragmatic, commercially minded and keen to work as part of a team while continuing to build your career.
