HSEQ Advisor
Support a high-performing operational business by driving best-practice health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes across sites and projects. This is a hands-on role where you’ll partner with leaders and frontline teams to embed strong HSEQ systems and culture.
  
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager (with a functional line to the HSEQ Manager), you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting the business to minimise risk and continually improve HSEQ performance. You’ll act as a trusted advisor across operations, working closely with site teams, leadership, and clients.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HSEQ advice across site and project environments
  • Support the development and implementation of HSEQ systems, policies and procedures
  • Conduct site audits and ensure compliance with company and client standards
  • Lead incident investigations (ICAM) and drive corrective actions
  • Deliver inductions and contribute to HSEQ training initiatives
  • Monitor hazard and incident registers, driving continuous improvement
  • Support injury management and rehabilitation processes
  • Act as the HSEQ representative on shutdowns and project work
  • Prepare and present HSEQ performance reports
  • Partner with clients and stakeholders on HSEQ matters
  
Quality Focus
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System
  • Conduct quality audits and manage NCR processes through to close-out
  • Assist with supplier prequalification and quality compliance
  • Provide guidance to site teams on quality standards and expectations
  
About You
  • Minimum 5+ years’ HSE experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or oil & gas
  • Relevant HSE qualification (essential)
  • Experience working with ISO or equivalent management systems
  • Strong understanding of NZ HSE legislation and compliance
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
