About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive, influential, and hands‑on Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to support operational sites across South and East Auckland. This role is responsible for partnering with site leadership and operational teams to create a safe, compliant, and engaged working environment, while driving both strategic and practical health and safety outcomes. Site based, balancing advisory, coaching, and implementation responsibilities. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to support risk reduction initiatives, embed safety leadership capability, and ensure consistent application of safety systems and standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate key risk reduction projects through the development, implementation, and follow‑through of practical action plans that deliver sustainable change
  • Support the standardisation and consistent application of HSE management systems, including policies and procedures, in partnership with key operational stakeholders
  • Deliver site‑specific safety plans by identifying and reducing risk across high‑risk hazards, hazard registers, property protection, injury reduction initiatives, and agreed HSE standards through coaching and training of operations teams and safety representatives
  • Review safety training requirements and support the delivery of targeted, fit‑for‑purpose training initiatives
  • Ensure monthly reporting is accurate and delivered on time
  • Influence behavioural change through strong engagement, visible leadership, and a proactive, continuous improvement mindset across site operations

    Key Requirements & Skills:
  • Tertiary level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) Management Level 4, or equivalent, strong knowledge of ISO45000
  • A minimum of three years’ demonstrated experience in site‑based health and safety management, preferably within a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Proven experience operating as a Health & Safety Advisor within complex or high‑risk workplaces and projects
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Confidence coaching leaders and frontline teams to improve safety outcomes
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and reporting discipline
  • Resilient, proactive, and solutions focused with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable driving behavioural change and supporting safety leadership development
