About the Role:
As Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll play a key role in embedding a proactive safety culture across all operations. You’ll work closely with management and staff to ensure compliance, conduct audits, and implement best-practice health and safety strategies. This is a hands-on role where your ability to engage and educate will make a tangible impact.  If you want more hours, there is an opportunity to add more value in an administrative capacity. 
   
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act (2015)
  • Develop and maintain audit systems and hazard registers
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and near misses
  • Facilitate risk assessments and deliver training sessions
  • Drive worker participation and engagement in safety practices
  • Liaise with clients regarding site safety requirements
  • Administrative support (if more hours are required)
   
Skills and Experience:
  • Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation
  • Excellent communication and training delivery skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
