We have partnered with a highly respected and long-established leader in New Zealand's commercial vehicle industry to find an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic for their Christchurch workshop.

This is a Monday to Friday role working within a well-equipped workshop alongside experienced technicians who take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. You'll enjoy variety in your day-to-day work while supporting a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles and helping keep New Zealand's transport industry moving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and repair heavy diesel trucks and commercial vehicles
  • Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns efficiently and safely
  • Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the wider workshop team to achieve operational targets
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining strong safety practices

About you
  • Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, and trailers
  • Ability to independently carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work well with others
